We're now accepting expressions of interest for Cabin Crew to join our Fleet on a full-time basis based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) for intakes October 2026 onwards.

The position of Cabin Crew is one of prestige and immense responsibility. As an Air New Zealand Flight Attendant, you'll be responsible for the welfare, comfort, and enjoyment of all our customers from the minute they step onboard until they reach their destination.
Key Requirements
- NZ Citizenship, Australian Citizenship, NZ Permanent Residency or Australian Permanent Residence. An ability to travel overseas is required including a valid passport with a minimum of 2 years validity.
- 18 years of age from time of application
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a customer-facing role in a high-pressured environment is preferred. We are looking for someone with a natural passion for people, ability to cope under pressure and be resilient in unforeseen circumstances. Each day can bring a different challenge and the ability to adapt to change will set you up for success
- Full New Zealand Driver License with reliable transport from time of application
- Passenger safety is paramount in our current operating environment, the ability to address and effectively communicate compliance requirements with passengers is a must
- Being physically fit is essential for this role, as it requires the ability to perform tasks that involve physical activity and requires you to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- We operate in a 24/7 industry, so you will need to commit to rostered shifts, weekends and public holidays
- While not essential, we encourage candidates with Japanese language skills to apply, as these are valued in supporting our customers.

Recruitment Process
- Step 1 - If you meet all the above minimum requirements, you will be asked to complete an online digital video interview
- Step 2 - Cognitive assessment
- Step 3 - Invitation to attend an assessment centre
- Step 4 - Successful candidates will go through an extensive vetting process, which includes: 2x references, medical clearance, police clearance, swim test (50 metres under two minutes and treading water for one minute) and St John's Level 2 first aid course certification
- Step 5 - You will then be placed into our candidate talent pool. Our Talent Acquisition team will be in touch once we have an available paid Cabin Crew training course.
