Mō te tūnga | About the role Defence Estate and Infrastructure provide, maintains and enhances land and infrastructure assets to support NZDF military capabilities and all of government outcomes.
As a Construction Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of significance capital projects across the Devonport Naval Base. Working along side a talented and diverse team of professionals, you'll help create modern, resilientand sustainable facilities that support NZDF personnel today and into the future. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Future Naval Base programme, influencing projects from concept through to delivery and leaving a lasting legacy on one of New Zealand's most important strategic sites.
This particular role is a fantastic opportunity to be the forefront of the future Naval Base project! Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience We're looking for people who bring a combination of project leadership experience, commercial understanding, relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes. You'll ideally have: * Experience leading complex construction projects * Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills * The ability to solve problems, think strategically and navigate complexity * Knowledge of Project Management methodologies such as PRINCE2 * Experience managing 3910 or 3916 contracts * A track record of motivating and influencing teams to achieve great outcomes. Here's what you need to know: Higher Level Security Clearance * You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa. * At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last ten (10) years. * You must have a ten (10) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
