Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a warehouse team within our manufacturing unit, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Each day, you will oversee warehouse processes, manage resources, and ensure our warehousing operations run smoothly and efficiently.. You will also showcase your expertise by leading by example and fostering a culture of data-driven management. The position requires flexibility to support a two-shift operation, with availability across extended production hours to ensure continuity, safety, and performance across shifts.

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a warehouse team within our manufacturing unit, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Each day, you will oversee warehouse processes, manage resources, and ensure our warehousing operations run smoothly and efficiently.. The position requires flexibility to support a two-shift operation, with availability across extended production hours to ensure continuity, safety, and performance across shifts.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Maintaining complete and accurate data in the ERP system.
- Leading, developing, and mentoring team members while ensuring proper staffing and performance management
- Ensure warehouse procedures are followed to ensure correct and timely data entry for both inward and outwards product or material movement
- Optimizes warehouse capacity, inventory and floor utilization in conjunction with Warehouse Manager
- Identifying operational improvements and overseeing implementation of performance enhancements
- Resolving critical product or equipment issues in collaboration with internal teams
- Championing a strong safety-first culture, ensuring all team members go home safe every day
- Building engagement and accountability across shifts, fostering trust, inclusion, and open communication
- Participating in regular inventory control processes.
- Our team dynamic is collaborative, with a focus on efficient problem-solving, continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards to exceed production goals.
- The role operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with competing priorities, requiring strong decision-making, resilience, and the ability to balance people leadership with operational delivery.
This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications for the role
- You are highly skilled in leadership and team management with strong supervisory and coaching abilities
- Experience leading teams across multiple shifts or extended operating hours
- Demonstrate established experience in motivating and leading teams with proven conflict resolution and performance management skills
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems like SAP
- Proven experience within a manufacturing warehouse operation
- Expert knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration
- Leadership qualification, trade certificate, or relevant qualification preferred
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand, experience working within a New Zealand manufacturing environment is advantageous
