General Labourer

Due to increased demands, we are searching for more individuals to join our client's team as a general labourer on the water team.

If you're reliable, physically fit, and looking for long-term work with solid training and steady hours, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual digging to locate and expose underground water pipes
  • Supporting machine operators with spotting and ground support
  • Replacing old valves and pipes using basic hand tools
  • Installing new infrastructure as part of scheduled upgrades
  • Performing general site clean-up and manual labouring task
  • Operating basic tools and equipment (e.g. compactors, jackhammers)

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (finish times may vary with project needs)

What You'll Need:

  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in construction or civil labouring (preferred)
  • Class 1 Full NZ Driver Licence (required)
  • WTR + Class 2 is a bonus
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice background check
