Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager (Consultancy)
An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved in both the commercial and delivery sides of construction.
This is a unique split role where you'll spend approximately 60% of your time focused on Quantity Surveying and 40% supporting Project Management and project delivery.
Working across a range of commercial construction projects, you'll be involved from project inception through to completion, giving you valuable exposure beyond a typical QS position.
About the Role
This position would suit a motivated professional with 3-6 years' experience who is looking to broaden their career and develop their project management capability while continuing to strengthen their commercial expertise.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Cost planning, estimating and budgeting
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Variations, progress claims and financial reporting
- Contract administration
- Assisting with project planning and programme management
- Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders
- Monitoring project delivery, quality and project outcomes
- Supporting the successful delivery of multiple construction projects
- 3-6 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the New Zealand construction sector
- Experience working on commercial construction projects
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
- An interest in developing Project Management skills and responsibilities
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
- Salary package of $90,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
