Role Overview:

We’re looking for a highly skilled and strategic SAP Finance Consultant to join our Managed Services team, playing a key role in helping clients navigate the evolving landscape of digital tax compliance and statutory reporting.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that blends deep SAP functional expertise with a forward-looking mindset. You’ll combine strong knowledge of SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) and SAP PS (Project System) with a passion for SAP’s Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) solution.

As a subject matter expert, you will lead and enhance solutions that support the UK’s Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT requirements. Your mission is to ensure our clients meet their immediate regulatory needs while establishing a scalable, future-ready compliance framework.

You’ll manage the end-to-end lifecycle of electronic documents – from core financial transactions through to real-time, API-based submissions to government authorities – ensuring seamless integration, reliability, and compliance at every stage.

•    Advanced Compliance & Statutory Reporting (DRC / MTD)

About You:

SAP FICO & PS Expertise:

•    Deep, expert-level functional and configuration knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Private & Public Cloud, On-Premises) and ECC Finance.
•    Specialist expertise in Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC), including deep experience with Material Ledger (ML).
•    Specialist expertise in Project Systems (PS), particularly with Results Analysis (RA) and complex project settlement configurations.
•    Strong understanding of the integration points between FI/CO/PS and other core modules (MM, SD, PM).
•    Proven experience in full project lifecycle implementations, from blueprinting to post-go-live support.

SAP Digital Compliance & Reporting Expertise:

•    Interest in Digital Tax: A strong interest in SAP’s digital tax solutions is required. While experience with SAP DRC, UK MTD, or SAF-T is advantageous, a strong aptitude and willingness to learn is paramount.
•    MTD & Technical Aptitude: An understanding of UK MTD for VAT regulations is required, along with a keen interest in developing skills in related SAP technologies like the eDocument Framework and AIF.
•    Tools Exposure: Familiarity with tools like the eDocument Cockpit is beneficial.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

•    Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues in a remote environment.
•    The ability to positively influence senior stakeholders and be accepted as a trusted advisor on complex financial and technical matters.
•    A demonstrated ability to present complex solutions clearly and understandably to both SAP-savvy and non-technical business audiences.
