Customer Service and Professionalism: A remedial massage therapist serves as a role model and sets the standard for all employees to maintain high-quality and consistent customer service.

This requires an advanced knowledge of industry best practices and customer service.

Communication: This position requires a commitment to details both verbally and non-verbally there-fore, the therapist must encourage cooperative and consistent levels of communication with clients, front-end staff and management. Must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate with little or no additional direction.

Interpersonal Relationships: Must adapt to different personalities of clients and coworkers without losing focus. Must possess high professional ethics and avoid extreme familiarity or conflicts with others.

Leadership and Management: Must understand and practice motivational management techniques.

Problem Solving, Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Must evaluate current practices and processes; immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided to the customers.

Conflict management: A therapist must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure. Requires the often-unbiased mediation skills to handle all types of conflicts that will occur at all levels of supervision and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Client Influence: Must understand products and services, develop new prospects for

opportunity, and understand customer needs clearly.

Performing General Physical Activities: Therapists must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate to maximum strength including massage, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials.

1.Accounts Clerk

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:Accounts clerks monitor creditor and debtor accounts, undertake related routine documentation, and calculate and investigate the cost of wages, materials, overheads and other operating costs

Reports to: Manager

Job Tasks

▪ preparing and processing documentation related to accounts payable and receivable

▪ reconciling invoices and despatching payments

▪ calculating, analysing, and investigating the costs of proposed expenditure, wages and standard costs

▪ preparing bank reconciliations

▪ allocating expenditure to specified budget accounts

▪ summarising expenditure and receipts

▪ preparing records of standard costs and values for items such as raw materials and packaging supplies

▪ recording cost variations and contract price movements

▪ compiling cost data for preparation of operating budgets, and profit and loss calculations

▪ investigating the costs of proposed expenditures, quotations and estimates

▪ preparing reports of total costs, inventory adjustments, selling prices and profits

▪ Computer application involving use of a software package which may include one or more of the following functions:

• create new files and records

• spreadsheet/worksheet

• graphics

• accounting/payroll file

• following standard procedures and using existing models/fields of information.

Position Summary:Remedial Massage Therapists perform therapeutic massage and

administer body treatments for treating injuries, health, fitness, and remedial purposes as well as encouraging clients their maintain wellness.

Reports to: Manager

Job Tasks

▪ Massage and knead soft tissues and muscles of the body to actualize treatment for injuries, medical conditions, or wellness maintenance

▪ Administer therapy treatments to patients using physical treatment aids or both hands

▪ Discuss with clients about their medical problems and histories with pain and stress to determine how the massage will be most helpful

▪ Carry out interview with patients to gather valuable medical information

▪ Apply hand and finger pressure to certain points of the body to achieve an effect

▪ Apply hand and finger pressure to selected points of the body

▪ Have and maintain treatment records

▪ Assess clients’ muscle strength, joint quality and function, soft tissue condition, and range of motion

▪ Teach medical equipment use or medical procedures to patients

▪ Create and suggest treatment plans that are to be used

▪ Create therapy programs for patients

▪ Professionally refer clients to other specialized therapists when the need arises

▪ Prepare, blend, and apply oils to clients’ skin
