Retail Manager
About Clean Auburn & Blacktown is part of the About Clean franchise, a leading retail network providing high-quality vacuum cleaners, floor cleaning equipment, spare parts, and repair services for both residential and commercial customers across Australia and New Zealand. Known for expert advice and affordable solutions, the store is dedicated to delivering outstanding service. Currently, About Clean Auburn & Blacktown is looking to hire a retail manager to join its growing team.

Job-type: Full-time
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending upon experience and skills)
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage store operations at multiple locations and make decisions to run business smoothly
• Oversee the product range, stock levels, and visual merchandising for each store to ensure high-quality customer service
• Manage purchasing, supplier relationships, stock reordering, and pricing for cleaning equipment and accessories
• Monitor store costs, manage stock expenses, and support sales targets for cleaning equipment and accessories
• Drive sales and customer engagement through in-store promotions and targeted local marketing based on customer demand and trend analysis.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide expert advice on product selection to the customers.
• Organise local advertising, set promotional offers, and manage stock rotation.
• Keep accurate stock records, handle sales reconciliations, and balance cash.
• Prepare and manage budgets to ensure profitability and smooth store operations.
• Supervise staff, create schedules, allocate tasks, and ensure adequate staffing, particularly during peak periods.
• Train, recruit and manage staff based on the business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards in all store activities.
Ideal candidate must have:
• Minimum Diploma degree in management, business, or relevant field or extensive work experience will substitute.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Retail Manager
• Proven Australian work experience as a Retail Manager
• Prior knowledge of vacuum cleaner technology is preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory and stock level management
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
