Requirements:
- This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2–3 days per week in the Cape Town office.
- 3+ years of professional experience in DataOps, Data Engineering, Product Ownership, or a similar data-focused role
- Strong experience working with Python, Azure, and SQL in modern data environments
- Experience managing data platform backlogs, prioritising technical initiatives, and aligning stakeholders across engineering and business teams
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and cloud-based data architectures
- Experience working in agile delivery environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar collaboration platforms
Nice to have:
- Experience with data orchestration and workflow tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- Exposure to analytics and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Relevant certifications in Azure, Product Management, or Agile methodologies
- Experience mentoring junior team members or leading cross-functional data initiatives
