Requirements:
- This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2–3 days per week in the Johannesburg office.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Experience working in an English speaking environment
Nice to have:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
- Familiarity with chaos engineering principles and tooling
- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g. Istio, Linkerd)
- Prior background in software development or systems programming
- Knowledge of a backend language such as Go, Python, or Java
