Restaurant Manager
Little Istanbul is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team in Greenway, ACT.
We are a well-established restaurant known for our authentic Turkish cuisine and high-quality customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Organising and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and high-quality food and beverage service.
- Planning and developing menus in consultation with kitchen staff, considering customer preferences, seasonal availability, quality standards, and cost control.
- Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining appropriate stock levels to support business operations.
- Recruiting, training, rostering, and supervising restaurant staff, including performance management and ongoing staff development.
- Monitoring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Handling customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Managing financial and administrative operations, including cash handling, budgeting, cost control, and preparation of operational reports.
- Planning and coordinating functions, events, and promotional activities to increase customer engagement and business growth.
- Liaising with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Ensuring the restaurant premises are maintained in a clean, safe, and presentable condition at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS
AQF Diploma or higher in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, Business Management, or a closely related field;
OR
At least 2–3 years of demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a café, restaurant, or food service establishment.
