MOBILE FRAMING SYDNEY PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and motivated Picture Framer (ANZSCO 394212) to join our team on a full-time basis in Sydney.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Botany, NSW 2019
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to determine suitable framing styles, materials and presentation options for artworks and memorabilia.
- Measure, cut and join timber and aluminium mouldings to manufacture custom picture frames.
- Prepare and mount paintings, photographs, certificates, canvases, prints and other artworks using appropriate mounting and conservation techniques.
- Cut and fit mat boards, backing boards, glass and acrylic panels to customer specifications.
- Stretch and mount canvases and textiles prior to framing.
- Operate framing machinery, saws, cutters and other hand and power tools to produce high-quality frames.
- Repair, refurbish and replace damaged frames, glass and backing materials where required.
- Ensure all framing work meets quality standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain stock of mouldings, mat boards, glass and other framing materials and advise management of stock requirements.
- Package and prepare completed framing orders for collection, delivery or installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Liaise with customers regarding custom orders and provide advice on suitable framing and preservation options.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification at AQF Certificate III level or higher, or at least three years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in custom picture framing and mounting techniques.
- Ability to use framing machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
