What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 6–8+ years’ experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or intelligent automation
  • Proven hands-on experience delivering AI/ML solutions (e.g. NLP, predictive analytics, optimization, LLM-based tools)
  • Strong background in RPA or workflow automation
  • Experience integrating AI and automation into existing business systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives across cross-functional, agile environments
  • Experience working with vendors, platforms, and third-party partners

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, model development, evaluation, and optimization
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages
  • Solid experience with Azure AI, Google Vertex AI, or comparable cloud AI stacks
  • Understanding of data engineering, pipelines, and feature engineering
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Cloud, AI/ML, or automation certifications are advantageous

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritise high-impact opportunities for AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI/ML models and automated workflows using platforms such as Azure AI, Google Vertex AI, and RPA tools
  • Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and performance
  • Lead initiatives end-to-end, covering discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous optimisation
  • Monitor model accuracy, automation stability, and business outcomes, driving ongoing improvement
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed AI into everyday business processes
  • Mentor team members and contribute to building a scalable AI & automation capability
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, manage vendors and platforms, and support tool selection
  • Champion ethical, responsible, and sustainable AI practices

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building solutions while shaping strategy, capability, and long-term direction.


The Role

In this role, you’ll take ownership of enterprise AI and automation initiatives—from identifying opportunities through to delivering scalable, production-ready solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across operations, product, data, customer experience, and digital teams to embed AI into core processes and decision-making.

You’ll also play a key role in uplifting organizational capability, guiding best practice, and ensuring AI is adopted responsibly and commercially.
