Job Title: Deputy Children's Manager
Location: Stoke-on-Trent (ST7)
Salary: £38,849.56 - £39,425.02 per annum
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Full-time, 2 on / 4 off shift pattern including sleep-ins
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: Required as part of the rota
Service: Children's Residential Home
Service Users: Children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) requiring therapeutic residential care
Qualifications Required:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Willingness and ability to complete the Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
-
Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (desirable)
Experience Required:
-
Minimum 2 years' experience working within residential childcare
-
Minimum 1 year's experience in a supervisory or management role within residential children's care
-
Experience leading staff performance and development (desirable)
The Home:
Our client is seeking an experienced Deputy Children's Manager to join a therapeutic children's residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior residential professional looking to progress within a well-established provider committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help lead the home, support and develop the staff team, ensure compliance with safeguarding and Ofsted regulations, and build positive relationships with children, professionals and families. You will also play a key role in delivering therapeutic care, implementing individual care plans, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

You will have:

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child development and trauma-informed practice.

Excellent leadership, delegation and organisational skills.

Good understanding of children's residential regulations and legal frameworks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

A full UK Driving Licence.

Flexibility to work weekends, sleep-ins and a varied shift pattern.

A commitment to continuous professional development.
