PASHUPATI & GOLDEN TEMPLE GROUP PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the commercial and operational management of Burrito Bar Ballina Central; a busy franchise retail food outlet located within Ballina Central Shopping Centre. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the daily operations of the store, ensuring efficient service delivery, strong financial performance, effective staff management, inventory control, customer satisfaction and compliance with Burrito Bar franchise standards.
This is a full-time, permanent position suited to a hands-on manager with proven leadership, organizational and operational management experience within a retail, hospitality or quick-service restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Plan, organize and oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail food outlet to ensure efficient service delivery and achievement of operational and financial objectives.
- Recruit, train, supervise and performance manage staff, including preparing rosters, allocating duties and monitoring team performance across all trading periods.
- Monitor staffing levels and labor costs to ensure efficient workforce planning while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Manage inventory levels by coordinating purchasing, supplier orders and stock control procedures to ensure product availability while minimizing wastage.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trading results and implement local promotional initiatives to maximize revenue and customer engagement.
- Manage store budgets, operating costs, cash handling procedures and financial records in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, workplace health and safety requirements, Burrito Bar franchise operating procedures and internal company policies.
- Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally while maintaining a high standard of customer service and protecting the reputation of the business.
- Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and operational readiness of the store to ensure compliance with Burrito Bar brand standards.
- Maintain operational records, stock reports and other business documentation, and liaise with suppliers and management to support the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the business.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience managing the operations of a retail, hospitality or quick-service food outlet.
- Strong leadership skills with experience recruiting, supervising, training and motivating staff.
- Experience in staff rostering, inventory management, purchasing, budgeting and day-to-day operational management.
- Sound understanding of customer service principles, food safety requirements and workplace health and safety obligations.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- A relevant qualification in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality Management or a related field will be highly regarded but is not essential.
