As an Operations Analyst, you'll play a critical role in supporting JBWere's private wealth clients by ensuring investment data is accurate, complete and delivered on time. Working within the COO function, you'll manage alternative investment activity, investigate and resolve client queries, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality client reporting and tax statements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented financial services professional looking to deepen their expertise in investment operations and private markets.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Mahi
- Maintain accurate and timely investment data across multiple business platforms to support reporting, performance measurement and client outcomes.
- Manage the processing and ongoing administration of alternative investments, including capital calls, distributions, management fees and valuations.
- Monitor investment transactions and data integrity to ensure information remains complete, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Analyse and reconcile investment performance returns against transaction and valuation data, investigating and resolving exceptions as required.
- Deliver outstanding service to internal stakeholders, advisers and external clients through professional, responsive support.
- Investigate client queries, identify root causes and implement effective solutions to improve service delivery.
- Support the preparation and delivery of client reporting and tax statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with best practice standards.
- Build strong working relationships across Operations, Adviser Support and other business teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and operational efficiencies within day-to-day activities.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture through knowledge sharing, cross-training and continuous learning.
Skills And Experiences

We require that you have:
- At least two years' experience in financial services, banking, insurance, funds management or investment operations.
- Strong understanding of investment markets, financial products and the broader economic environment.
- Knowledge of private equity or alternative investments, including fund structures, capital activity and lifecycle events.
- Highly numerate with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience analysing, reconciling or reporting investment, portfolio or financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
