Salary: $77,000 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation
JK Restaurant Tandoori & Curry House is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our busy kitchen team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining excellent food standards, and contributing to a positive team environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and prepare authentic Indian dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
Prepare, season and cook a variety of meals, including curries, tandoori dishes, appetisers and desserts.
Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency.
Assist with menu planning and the development of new dishes.
Estimate food and labour costs and assist with ordering and stock control.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
Supervise and train kitchen staff where required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Skills and ExperienceRelevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, or at least three years of relevant work experience.
Experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Excellent time management, communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Annual salary of $77,000–$82,000 plus superannuation.
