Mō te tūnga | About the role (Casual and Permanent role available)
The purpose of this role is to deliver an outstanding parental programmes through the effective day-to-day running of Granger Grove with a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.
In this role, you'll work closely with resident mothers to support their journey toward independence and confidence, including:
- Supporting mothers to build child management and life skills, and role modelling these skills in everyday practice
- Helping clients transition smoothly into stage two Cottages, minimising isolation or anxiety around the move
- Coaching mothers in cooking and baking through shared meal preparation
- Maintaining accurate, professional documentation and incident reporting
- Contributing to a safe, hygienic, and welcoming residential environment
- Working collaboratively with the wider team through handovers, clinical meetings, and regular supervision

You're a warm, capable, and dependable person who thrives on helping others grow. You bring resilience and professionalism to challenging situations, and you take genuine pride in seeing tasks through from start to finish. You're comfortable balancing hands-on relational work with the administrative rigour the role demands, and you understand the importance of confidentiality and trust in a residential care setting.
Skills and experience:
- Full, clean drivers license
- Support work experience in a residential programme (At least 3 years)
- Additional training or experience in early intervention services eg: attachment theory, special education services etc
- Strong interpersonal skills and a confident telephone manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external
- Computer literate, with solid Microsoft Office skills
