About us
Carlee Hair Design, located in the Darwin suburb of Anula, is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Hairdresser to join our friendly team.
With over 30 years of combined industry experience, our boutique salon is known as a local haircare haven. We specialise in all aspects of hairdressing, including up styling, colouring, and foils. Conveniently based in a small shopping centre, we provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere where clients feel heard and cared for.
As part of our team, you’ll work alongside highly-trained professionals who stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques. If you're dedicated to delivering excellent service and love helping people look and feel their best, we’d love to hear from you.
Job description
- Advising clients on hair care, beauty products, and suitable hairstyles.
- Washing and conditioning hair and scalps.
- Applying chemical treatments such as colouring, straightening, and permanent waving.
- Cutting hair using scissors, clippers, and razors.
- Creating hairstyles including dreadlocks, braids, and applying hair extensions.
- Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and sterilising tools and equipment.
- Scheduling appointments and handling client payments.
- May also clean, colour, cut, and style wigs and hairpieces.
Skill experience
- Relevant experience is required
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Be willing to undergo regular training to stay up with current market trends.
- Balliage capable.
- Full hair foils and different foils techniques.
- Very good understanding of colours.
- Short and long haircutting experience. (Styling skills).
- Time efficient, for the particular job at hand.
- Be able to work productively in a team environment.
Qualification
- Hairdressing qualification, TAFE Certificate 3 or equivalent.
Desirable
- Ability to travel to Sydney on an annual rotation basis with other staff for Expo's.
- Flexible to fill in when other staff are on sick leave or annual leave.
- Be neat and presentable.
- Be fashion conscious.
