Experienced Chef Wanted
5 Boroughs Carseldine is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are looking for a motivated professional who is committed to producing high-quality meals and contributing to an energetic team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Plan menus and contribute to the development of new dishes and seasonal specials.
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Minimise food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff where required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
- Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served within required service times.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- At least two years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
