Senior Field Consultant – Professional Services (EMEA)
Role summary
As a Senior Field Consultant in Rubrik’s Professional Services Organisation (PSO) EMEA, you will use your knowledge and experience to help drive Rubrik’s product adoption with critical customers. You are responsible for designing, configuring and delivering Rubrik data protection solutions across customer data centers and hybrid-cloud environments, and leading complex professional services engagements for enterprise customers. You must possess a unique blend of technical and customer-facing skills to help discover, plan, and execute project requirements to drive customer success.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Rubrik data protection solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments.
- Deploy and configure Rubrik Security Cloud, cloud clusters, and associated networking, security, and identity integrations.
- Onboard cloud and SaaS workloads in accordance with customer requirements and Professional Services standards.
- Execute solution validation activities, including backup/recovery testing, performance verification, monitoring, and operational readiness checks.
- Deliver Professional Services engagements remotely and onsite, ensuring successful execution within scope, timeline, and quality objectives.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and customer-facing design discussions.
- Act as the primary technical contact during engagements, partnering with customer architects and platform teams.
- Produce implementation documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials to support customer adoption.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Support, and PMO teams to drive successful customer outcomes.
- Contribute to delivery best practices, process improvements, and reusable service assets.
Requirements
- 8+ years in customer-facing Professional Services, consulting, solution architect or solutions engineering roles within backup/data protection or adjacent domains.
- Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), including networking, security, IAM, and storage services. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Solid experience in backup and data protection, covering at least some of virtualisation platforms, databases, file and object storage, and SaaS workloads. (e.g., VMware, SQL, Oracle, NAS).
- Experience implementing or operating cloud-native backup, DR, and recovery solutions.
- Strong scripting skills and knowledge of automation/orchestration platforms
- Good understanding of hybrid architectures, connectivity patterns (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute), and identity integration.
- Proven track record leading implementation projects from design through to handover.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional EMEA languages are an advantage.
- Self-driven, organised, and detail-oriented with a strong focus on customer outcomes.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for customer engagements when required.
