They are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to play a pivotal role in building and evolving an organisation’s BI capability from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys creating scalable reporting and analytics solutions while taking ownership of both project delivery and ongoing business-as-usual (BAU) support.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, optimise data flows, and develop meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making. A key focus of this role is leveraging and integrating data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM, making prior Dynamics CRM experience essential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, dashboards, reports, and analytics capabilities.
  • Build and establish a sustainable BI and reporting environment from the ground up.
  • Develop robust data models, data integration processes, and reporting frameworks.
  • Extract, transform, and analyse data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other business systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance practices are embedded within BI solutions.
  • Provide support and enhancement of existing reporting environments as part of ongoing BAU responsibilities.
  • Lead and deliver BI-related projects, managing priorities across both project and operational workstreams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation through data and analytics.

  • Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar Business Intelligence position.
  • Strong Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience (essential).
  • Experience designing and implementing BI capabilities, reporting frameworks, or analytics platforms.
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualisation tools.
  • Understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes.
Location: Must be based in Wellington
