Due to continued business expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated Analyst Programmer to join our Sydney technology team.
About the Role
As an Analyst Programmer, you will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects and software engineers to analyse business requirements, design software solutions, develop business applications and support the implementation of cloud-based systems. You will play a key role in delivering scalable, secure and innovative software solutions that align with client and organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business processes, user requirements and functional specifications to develop effective software solutions.
- Design, develop, test, implement and maintain software applications and business systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, system documentation and application design documentation.
- Develop and enhance web-based, cloud-based and enterprise applications using modern programming languages and development frameworks.
- Design and optimise database structures, data models and application interfaces.
- Perform system integration, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, software testing and quality assurance activities.
- Develop APIs and integrate third-party platforms and cloud services where required.
- Support application deployment, maintenance, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure software solutions comply with organisational security standards and industry best practices.
- Provide technical support and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum two years of relevant professional experience as an Analyst Programmer, Software Developer or Software Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or similar programming languages.
- Experience with SQL databases, REST APIs and cloud-based application development.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace technologies, cloud platforms and workflow automation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within collaborative technical teams.
