About the Role
We’re looking for Full-Time community support workers who are ready to make a genuine impact. In this role, you'll support people as they explore their community, discover new interests, strengthen life skills, and work toward personal goals. Make a real difference in someone’s life every day — no two days are the same. Join a supportive team, earn while you learn, and build a meaningful career in disability support.
In this role, you will:
- Support people in the community as they set and achieve personal goals
- Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
- Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
- Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
- Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
- And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!
This role requires flexibility to work a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts.
Skills And Experiences
What you’ll bring
Our Dunedin team is looking for someone with:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, positive approach, even when things get challenging
- A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
- A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 Health & Wellbeing) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
- The right to work in New Zealand (essential)
