Are you a passionate Chef looking for a secure and rewarding position in the hospitality industry? Fasta Pasta Brighton is looking for a dedicated Chef to join our busy kitchen and help deliver fresh, high-quality meals to our guests.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of high-quality Italian dishes in a dining and catering environment.
- Prepare and cook pasta dishes, including Beef Boscaiola, Pollo Delizia, Marinara Linguine, and Bolognese.
- Prepare and cook pizzas, including traditional and gourmet options.
- Cook mains like Chicken Parmigiana, Fish and Chips, and Italian-style risottos.
- Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
- Collaborate with managers, waitstaff, and kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of ingredients, including fresh pasta, sauces, and seafood.
- Maintain quality control of all dishes to ensure consistent taste, presentation, and timely service.
- Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
- Ensure efficient kitchen operations, optimising workflow and organisation.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with regulations.
- Pay close attention to detail in food preparation, plating, and portioning.
- Train new kitchen staff and apprentices in cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
- Organise and manage staff duty rosters for smooth shift operations.
- Perform any other relevant duties as directed by management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum Qualification is Certificate 4 or Diploma in Hospitality.
- Experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
- A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work on a 5-day roster, including weekends.
