About Role
TAS ‘ S Bakery is seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Baker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods while maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and workplace hygiene.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, knead, and bake a variety of bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, biscuits, and other baked products in accordance with recipes and production requirements.
- Measure, weigh, and combine ingredients to ensure consistency and product quality.
- Monitor fermentation, proofing, baking, and cooling processes to achieve the required quality standards.
- Decorate and finish baked products as required.
- Develop and trial new recipes and baked products in consultation with management.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering baking ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure ingredients and finished products are stored appropriately to maintain freshness and quality.
- Operate, clean, and maintain baking equipment and work areas in accordance with safety procedures.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) compliance.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily production schedules and customer demand.
Skills and Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Baking or a related field OR equivalent industry experience.
- Relevant experience in a commercial bakery, café, or food production environment.
- Sound knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, and food production processes.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
