BMHL Equities Inc est à la recherche d’un(e) adjoint(e) juridique organisé(e), rigoureux(se) et autonome pour soutenir son équipe juridique dans un environnement corporatif et transactionnel, avec un accent sur l’immobilier.
Le rôle comprend la gestion avancée de documents, la coordination des signatures, le suivi des dossiers ainsi que le soutien aux obligations corporatives courantes, conformément aux lois provinciales, fédérales et à certaines lois étatiques américaines.
Principales responsabilités
Gestion documentaire et signatures
- Préparer, mettre en forme et finaliser des documents juridiques (Word et PDF)
- Gérer DocuSign, y compris l’envoi des documents, le suivi de l’exécution et les relances pour l’obtention des signatures
- Coordonner et organiser les signatures liées aux résolutions et aux transactions
- Téléverser, organiser et maintenir les documents dans des salles de données
- Numériser, enregistrer et classer les documents physiques (p. ex., le courrier entrant)
Soutien juridique corporatif
- Préparer des ébauches de documents juridiques, y compris des lettres de mise en demeure pour loyers impayés
- Préparer des résolutions de base à partir d’extraits ou de copies certifiées conformes (principalement dans le cadre de financements)
- Fournir un soutien de base en droit corporatif, notamment :
- Structure et tenue des livres de procès-verbaux
- Préparation et compréhension des organigrammes et structures corporatives
- Soutien aux exigences annuelles de conformité, y compris les résolutions et les dépôts auprès des autorités gouvernementales (Québec, Canada et États-Unis)
- Organiser et standardiser les dossiers juridiques numériques
Coordination, facturation et gestion des tâches
- Aider à l’organisation et à la gestion de la charge de travail de l’équipe juridique, y compris les calendriers
- Effectuer les suivis et rappels relatifs aux dossiers actifs
- Créer et mettre à jour les tâches dans un logiciel de gestion des tâchesAider au suivi de la facturation et des comptes à recevoir
Qualifications requises
- Diplôme en secrétariat juridique, en techniques juridiques ou dans un domaine connexe
- Minimum de 3 à 5 ans d’expérience à titre d’adjoint(e) juridique, de préférence en droit corporatif
- Bonne compréhension de la terminologie et des procédures juridiques du Québec
- Excellente maîtrise du français (langue de travail principale)
- Excellente maîtrise de l’anglais requise en raison de la nature des communications externes,
- Excellentes aptitudes organisationnelles et grand souci du détail
- Maîtrise de la technologie et des outils juridiques (Microsoft Office, DocuSign, Athennian, ClickUp)

Position Summary
BMHL Equities Inc is seeking an organized, detail‑oriented, and autonomous Legal Assistant to support its legal team in a corporate and transactional environment, with a focus on real estate.
The role involves advanced document management, coordination of signatures, file follow‑ups, and support with ongoing corporate obligations, in compliance with provincial, federal and some US state laws.
Key Responsibilities
Document Management & Signatures
- Prepare, format, and finalize legal documents (Word and PDF)
- Manage DocuSign, including sending documents, tracking execution, and following up on signatures
- Coordinate and organize signatures relating to resolutions and transactions
- Upload, organize, and maintain documents in Data Rooms
- Scan, save, and classify physical documents (e.g., incoming mail)
Corporate Legal Support
- Prepare draft legal documents, including demand letters for unpaid rent
- Prepare basic resolutions from extracts or certified copies (primarily in financing matters)
- Provide basic corporate law support, including:
- Structure and maintenance of corporate minute books
- Preparation and understanding of organizational charts and corporate structures
- Support with annual compliance requirements, including resolutions and filings with government authorities (Québec, Canada, and the United States)
- Organize and standardize digital legal files
Coordination, Billing & Task Management
- Assist with the organization and management of the legal team’s workload, including calendars
- Perform follow‑ups and reminders on active files
- Create and update tasks in task‑management software
- Assist with invoicing and billing follow‑ups
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Legal Secretarial Studies, Legal Techniques, or a related field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in corporate law
- Solid understanding of Québec legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent command of French (primary working language)
- Excellent command of English required due to the nature of external communications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Master technology and legal tools (Microsoft Office, DocuSign, Athennian, Click-Up)
