Who You Are
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Child Care Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
- Plan and assist in delivering age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support children with daily routines, including meals, personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, and rest periods.
- Observe children's behaviour and development, maintaining accurate records and communicating progress with families and colleagues.
- Foster positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and social skills through engaging interactions and activities.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks while ensuring dietary and allergy requirements are followed.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised learning environment, including sanitising toys, equipment, and activity areas.
- Ensure compliance with workplace policies, child protection requirements, health and safety standards, and the National Quality Framework.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, accidents, and emergencies, administering first aid where required.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, guardians, and fellow educators.
- Assist with maintaining attendance records, incident reports, developmental observations, and other required documentation.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
What We Offer
• Full-time, permanent position
• Competitive salary: $79,000 – $85,000 per year (depending on experience)
