
Art Director
Lighthouse Games is a leading AAA game development studio based in Leamington Spa, committed to creating world-class gaming experiences. We are seeking a talented and visionary Art Director to join our dynamic team in a hybrid working model, contributing to an ambitious new open-world game. This is an opportunity to shape and elevate the artistic direction of the project while collaborating closely with a team of passionate industry professionals.
As the Art Director, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the overarching artistic vision, driving the quality and consistency of all visual elements across the game. You will mentor and guide the art team, working alongside technical art, design, and engineering departments to solve creative challenges and ensure the visual narrative aligns with the game’s goals.
Working alongside our Head of Art and Art Development Lead to elevate the level of visual quality across the studio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate the artistic vision for the project, setting high standards for quality and style.
- Lead and coordinate art teams across multiple disciplines including environment, character, animation, and UI arts.
- Establish visual benchmarks, style guides, and workflows to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate art within the technical framework and overall game design.
- Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to artists to foster growth and maintain motivation.
- Extensive experience directing art on AAA game projects.
- Deep understanding of current gaming trends, art styles, and production pipelines.
- Proficiency with industry-standard content creation tools and game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine).
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Passionate about video games and dedicated to pushing creative boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in open-world game development.
- Track record of shipped AAA titles.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and agile development environments.
- Diverse portfolio showcasing a range of artistic styles and genres.
