Builder’s Labourer & Plastics Fabricator or Welder
Darwin Fibreglass Pools and Spas, a family-owned and operated business that has been a
cornerstone of the local community since 1989. We take pride in providing homes
throughout Darwin with affordable, easy-to-maintain fibreglass swimming pools.
We are now in need of full-time positions as below to join our growing team in NT. Annual
salary from $67,000 - $80,000 plus super with 38 working hours per week, Monday to Friday
with some overtime available depending on the workload.

1/ Builder’s Labourer
Preparing sites for pool installations, including clearing, measuring, and basic site
levelling.
Assisting in the placement and alignment of fibreglass pool shells using lifting
equipment and tools.
Carrying and positioning materials such as coping stones, tiles, fencing panels, and
drainage components.
Supporting excavation and backfilling tasks, including handling soil, gravel, and other
fill materials.
Installing basic fittings such as pool plumbing, and filtration pipework under
tradespeople’s supervision.
Cleaning and tidying worksites before and after installation to maintain a safe and
professional environment. Performing basic landscaping work around pools.
Handling tools and assisting tradespeople with tasks requiring manual labour
support.
Other related on-site tasks.
General Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience.
Physically fit with the ability to work in outdoor conditions year-round.
Experience in construction, landscaping, or pool installation is desirable but not
essential.
Willingness to learn and follow safety and operational procedures.
Able to work as part of a close-knit team and follow instructions accurately.
2/ Plastics Fabricator or Welder
Uses machines to measure, cut, shape, fit, and assemble materials to manufacture
products.
Monitoring and adjusting production settings to ensure correct conditions are
maintained throughout the fibreglass forming and curing process.
Measuring and preparing materials and assisting in loading them into mixing stations
or designated application areas.
Monitor production flow and support the application of various materials as needed to
maintain quality and consistency during pool fabrication.
Handle and move materials, products through different stages, ensuring proper care
is taken when transferring or positioning components.
Support the setup and assembly of components by laying and arranging materials for
forming.
Assist in smoothing and consolidating materials during the production process to help
achieve a strong and even finish on completed pool structures.
Follow curing or drying procedures as required, ensuring products are set correctly
and in line with operational timeframes.
Inspect completed work for any visible faults, defects, or quality concerns and report
issues for corrective action.
Carry out repair and touch-up tasks when needed.
Keep records of daily work activities, material use, and completion status.
Other related on-site tasks.
General Requirements
Relevant qualification is preferred (Certificate II or Certificate III). At least one year of
relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience is required.
Previous experience in fibreglass, boat building, automotive bodywork, or similar
trades is a plus.
Understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistent, quality work.
