
Revenue Manager
Shape Revenue Growth at Te Papa
We're seeking a commercially astute and analytically driven Revenue Manager to lead Te Papa's revenue management, pricing strategy, revenue optimisation, yield management and forecasting activities across our commercial portfolio.
Reporting into the Commercial team and working closely with our Sales and Growth team, you'll use data, market insight and commercial judgement to maximise revenue growth, optimise pricing, improve demand forecasting and drive commercial performance across tourism, hospitality, events and venue experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead Te Papa's revenue management capability, influencing strategic decision-making and delivering sustainable commercial outcomes.

What You'll Deliver
Within your first year, you'll have established a trusted, data-driven revenue management function that strengthens commercial decision-making and supports Te Papa's growth ambitions.
Success in this role will be demonstrated through your ability to: * Develop and deliver revenue management and commercial strategy initiatives that optimise performance across Te Papa's commercial revenue streams. * Lead pricing strategy, yield management, demand management and revenue forecasting processes that support sustainable revenue growth and informed decision-making. * Build trusted relationships across the organisation and become a valued commercial advisor. * Deliver high-quality commercial analytics, performance reporting and market insights that influence strategic and operational decisions. * Partner with the Sales and Growth team to support client acquisition, conversion and retention through robust pricing and revenue frameworks. * Develop commercially sound propositions and review high-value opportunities that help win and retain business. * Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and revenue performance to identify opportunities for revenue optimisation and growth. * Champion improved pricing and forecasting capability across the organisation, increasing confidence in commercial decision-making. * Contribute to Te Papa's profile within the tourism, hospitality and events sectors through industry engagement and networking. * Identify and implement initiatives that maximise revenue growth across a diverse portfolio spanning tourism, events, hospitality and venue experiences. You are a strategic thinker with strong commercial judgement, analytical capability and a passion for using data to drive business performance.
Essential * Experience in revenue management, pricing, yield management, commercial strategy or a related discipline. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. * Experience using revenue management, forecasting, analytics or business intelligence tools. * Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships across a complex organisation. * Experience within hospitality, tourism, events, travel or a similarly commercial environment. Advantageous * Experience within a museum, cultural institution, visitor attraction or public-facing organisation. * Knowledge of New Zealand's tourism, hospitality or events sectors. * Commitment to ongoing learning in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori and Mana Taonga practice. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, based at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, 55 Cable Street, Wellington.

Salary band: $111,000 - $139,000 per annum. Salary will be based on skills, experience and internal relativities.
