
Charge Nurse Manager
If you're an experienced theatre nurse leader looking for your next step, this one's worth a look. A well-regarded private surgical hospital is looking for a Charge Nurse to lead one of their theatre teams.
About the role
This is a full-time, permanent position reporting directly to the Theatre Manager, working alongside four other charge managers. You'll lead a team of around 25 RNs and RNFSAs across a dedicated theatre service, making sure resources are used efficiently, patients get exceptional care, and the team stays happy and engaged. Monday to Friday hours, with the opportunity to really make the role your own and drive growth within the service.

Skills and Experience
- Registered Nurse with current NZNC registration
- At least 5 years' theatre experience (gynae, general and plastics preferred; robotics experience an advantage)
- At least 3 years' experience leading an operating theatre team in NZ or a comparable country (Australia, UK, Ireland)
- Postgraduate qualification in management or perioperative nursing an advantage
- A credible, proactive people leader
- Strong judgement and problem-solving skills
- Positive, collaborative approach with a genuine focus on service delivery
