The Psychology Centre as part of Te Kura Whatu Oho Mauri School of Psychological and Social Sciences is seeking a clinical psychologist-supervisor to join our team. This role will focus on clinical service delivery and supervision of students in the university's clinical psychology programme. This role would be ideal for a mid-career psychologist, but we are also happy to consider psychologists of other experience levels.
We are looking for someone with a solid grounding in clinical assessment and treatment of a range of disorders and someone open to applying this to supervision of students and other professionals. An ideal candidate would have experience with ACC and an interest in at least one of the following areas: psychometric assessment, trauma, child/adolescent work and group work. Our aim is to provide a variety of services that meet the needs of the community as well as our service; hence there are opportunities to expand our organisational scope depending on the individual experience and expertise of the successful applicant.

Salary will be in the range of $87,125 to $138,375 pro rated, per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a 0.8 to 1.0 FTE position based on our Hillcrest Campus.
Ko wai koe? - Who are you?
You will need to have a PGDip or other postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology. Additionally, you will also have: * Proven experience in applied clinical psychology. * Registration or eligibility for registration with NZ Psychologists Board as a registered clinical psychologist. * Professional affiliation to a national professional body. * Experience/interest in working with psychology students: supervision, teaching (depending on experience). * Ability to develop new initiatives. * Excellent organisational, administration and interpersonal skills. The Psychology Centre joined the School of Psychological and Social Sciences in 2023 and is focussed on promoting education and pre-service training in clinical psychology. We provide individual and group psychology services to the public. We also work to develop and implement programmes to meet the needs of children, youth, their whanau and adults in the region who may require specialised mental health treatment programmes.
The Psychology Centre maintains a close relationship with the Clinical Psychology Programme which offers interesting opportunities for collaboration in student training, teaching and research.
