**Production Operator** **One (1) Day Shift (7:35AM-4:05PM)** We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our manufacturing process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standard of quality. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, adhering to safety and quality guidelines and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. **A DAY IN THE LIFE...** As a **Production Operator,** your responsibilities will include: **Safe** + Follow all safety, health, environmental, and site procedures to maintain a safe workplace. + Actively participate in safety initiatives, risk assessments, and reporting of hazards and near misses. **Quality and Compliance** + Complete quality checks accurately and on time. + Comply with food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and site quality requirements. + Accurately record production information, stoppages, quality results, and other operational data. + Promptly identify and escalate quality or process issues to the appropriate team members. **Efficient Operations** + Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime and maintain production flow. **Continuous Improvement** + Actively participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) activities and improvement initiatives. + Support efforts to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and maintain operational standards. + Contribute ideas and solutions that help improve safety, quality, and performance. **Teamwork and Capability Building** + Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets. + Maintain effective communication during shift handovers and throughout daily operations. + Complete required training and development activities to build knowledge and skills. + Continuously develop competency in operating plant equipment, monitoring processes, and complying with Nestlé standards **Are you a Fit?** To be successful in this role you must possess the following qualities: + Reliability, trustworthiness and positive attitude. + Good level of fitness due to manual handling requirements. + Strong focus on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). + Strong commitment to Health and Safety (H&S). + Good **computer literacy, including the ability to learn new systems quickly and use digital tools confidently.** + **Good mathematical skills, including the ability to perform accurate measurements, calculations, and basic data analysis.** + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Forklift license is preferred + Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards + Strategic thinking and resourcefulness for problem solving. + Ability to effectively communicate and interact with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders in the production process. + **Has to be Citizen, Permanent Resident or updated work visa in New Zealand**
