YOUR ROLE
Work as an Application Developer, contributing to various technical streams of Guidewire implementation projects Interface and communicate effectively with onsite coordinators to ensure seamless project execution Plan and monitor project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards Occasional travel to customer locations (once or twice per year) may be required for project-related activities Participate in organization-wide people initiatives as required
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Guidewire InsuranceSuite:
- Gosu: rules, enhancements, classes, entity model, typelists
- PCF configuration for claims screens and user flows
- ClaimCenter Workflows: states, transitions, activity management
- Exposure, Reserving, Payment, and Recovery domain logic
- Financial transactions, check handling, bulk invoices, authority limits
APIs & Integrations:
- REST/SOAP services, Messaging, Web Services, Plugins
- Experience with ESB, Azure Integration Services, or similar integration layers
- JSON/XML data structures, XSD, WSDL
Core Engineering & DevOps:
- Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar CI/CD pipelines
- Automated build & deployment for Guidewire modules
- Basic performance tuning & debugging tools
Data & Insurance Architecture:
- ClaimCenter Data Model: policy, exposures, transactions, documents, activities, parties
- SQL for troubleshooting and validation
Delivery and Collaboration Tools:
- JIRA (backlog management, story refinement, development tasks)
- Confluence (technical documentation, integration specs, solution design)
- Azure DevOps
Your responsibilities
- Design, configure, and develop high‑quality solutions within Guidewire ClaimCenter, supporting the full claims lifecycle from FNOL through investigation, adjudication, reserving, payments, recoveries, subrogation, litigation, and closure.
- Implement advanced Gosu-based customizations across ClaimCenter rules, entities, workflows, PCF screens, and extension logic, ensuring the system aligns with complex insurance operations and regional regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain ClaimCenter integrations including messaging, REST/SOAP APIs, batch processes, claim ingestion feeds, document management interfaces, financial/ERP integrations, and external data provider connections.
- Translate functional claims requirements into solid technical specifications, defining class structures, workflows, events, data mappings, and API behaviors in close collaboration with Technical Architects and Business Analysts.
- Configure and enhance ClaimCenter workflows such as FNOL intake, triage/routing, assignment rules, activity plans, litigation processes, vendor management, and payment authorization flows.
- Ensure solution design consistency with Guidewire best practices, performance guidelines, coding standards, and multi‑environment deployment architecture.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, support sprint planning and grooming, validate technical feasibility of stories, and provide accurate development input.
- Conduct code reviews, optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex defects, and support production deployments and environment stabilization.
- Drive engineering excellence, contribute reusable components, mentor junior developers, and assist in building long-term delivery capability inside project teams.
Our requirements
- Experience working as a Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer, with strong hands-on knowledge of Gosu, ClaimCenter configuration, and integration development.
- Deep understanding of the insurance claims domain, including FNOL, coverage verification, investigation processes, exposures & reserves, payments, subrogation, litigation, vendor management, and financial authority controls.
- Proven experience building and supporting ClaimCenter integrations, including messaging plugins, service APIs, claim ingestion, payment systems, document generation, and external data providers (fraud, MVR, address verification, etc.).
- Ability to interpret functional requirements and convert them into “maintainable technical designs”, workflow logic, extension models, batches and API implementation details.
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills across ClaimCenter layers (UI screens, rules, entity model, messaging, integrations, data, workflow and batches).
- Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments (Scrum or SAFe), participating in technical grooming, story estimation, code reviews.
- Excellent English communication skills, capable of working with BAs, QAs, architects, and client stakeholders in global insurance programs.
- A proactive, solution‑driven mindset with strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and production stability.
- Guidewire ClaimCenter certifications.
