At Trade Me, we're about connecting Kiwi to create the life they want.

business, or the smaller things, like finding that right bedside table or parting
ways with some old stuff. At Trade Me our vision is to be the place where Kiwi
look first.
Our product designers are responsible for crafting the look, feel, and functionality of our digital products. You'll design engaging solutions that meet both user and business needs in a 'Trade Me' way, demonstrating a bias for action, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate openly across the wider Trade Me business.

- Clearly communicate ideas and design rationale to diverse audiences, actively seeking and providing feedback, and influencing decisions based on data and best design practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams & stakeholders, applying design thinking to develop effective design solutions and prioritise efforts.
- Be curious, self-driven, and proactive in seeking new opportunities and learning, looking to expand your influence and contribute beyond day-to-day tasks.
- Take ownership of the user experience within your diamond (product owner, product manager & lead software engineer) demonstrating strong time management & influence.
- Identify and champion use cases for AI to remove manual toil. This includes leveraging our Trade Me’s internal AI/ML stack to build smarter, self-optimising journeys that scale and drive great customer and business value

- Strong collaborator - you proactively seek open collaboration with other designers, squad members and stakeholders.
- Strong communicator - you will be able to explain ideas simply & clearly, listen carefully to others, proactively improve team communication.
- Curious - you’re driven to understand our consumers and their problems deeply.
