Sephora SEA’s omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).
Director, Total Rewards and Organization Development
The Director, Total Rewards and Organizational Development plays a critical role in shaping how Sephora attracts, engages, develops, and retains talent across South East Asia and Oceania (SEAO). This role is responsible for designing and delivering Total Rewards strategies, frameworks, and programs that are aligned with business priorities, market realities, and Sephora’s ambition to remain a competitive and compelling employer in a fast-growing, multi-country retail environment. Working across diverse markets, the role partners closely with regional and local HR teams, business leaders, global Sephora stakeholders and LVMH Asia stakeholders to ensure compensation, benefits, recognition, and rewards practices are equitable and relevant to the needs of both office-based and store-based employees.
This role also drives a focused Organization Development agenda that enables Sephora to deliver its business strategy with the right capabilities and structures in the SEAO region. This role will support organization effectiveness, workforce planning and talent capability initiatives that support teams’ performance. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, analytical rigour, stakeholder influence, and the ability to translate regional priorities into practical solutions that create measurable impact for the business and a meaningful employee experience.

Total Rewards Strategy, Architecture and Governance
- Shape and elevate the SEAO Total Rewards philosophy, building competitive pay structures, incentive design, pay positioning, benchmarking, and reward frameworks that support business growth and talent retention.
- Strengthen Total Rewards governance across SEAO by leading annual compensation cycles, market data strategy, policy creation and updates, and regulatory compliance with clarity and discipline.
- Lead the SEAO Total Rewards centre of excellence, driving consistent methodologies, stronger decision-making, and locally relevant solutions across diverse markets.
Comprehensive Compensation Management
- Lead and drive compensation strategies and management that reinforce Sephora’s Total Rewards philosophy while ensuring competitiveness, equity, and relevance across local markets.
- Lead the regional annual compensation review cycle, including market surveys, pay positioning, merit reviews, promotions, retention incentives, and compensation decisions.
- Drive, track, and govern compensation-related requests across markets, ensuring disciplined follow-through, consistent decision-making, and timely stakeholder alignment.
- Lead compensation projects that support evolving business priorities and address market or organizational challenges.
- Build scalable regional templates and scenario models that strengthen compensation planning, ensure consistency across markets, and enable data-led decision-making.
Benefits Strategy and Management
- Design, review, refine and evolve benefits programs that strengthen employee experience while balancing Sephora global benefits guidelines, local relevance, and affordability.
- Lead annual benefits renewals and negotiations across the region in partnership with market HR, driving stronger value from vendors, contracts, benefits analysis, and utilisation insights.
- Lead market benefits survey participation, benchmarking, review, and enhancement planning to ensure benefits remain competitive and relevant.
- Collaborate closely with market HR to drive benefits, health, and wellbeing initiatives.
HR Budgeting and Governance
- Lead the HR budgeting cycle across SEA and Oceania, ensuring a disciplined, consistent, and timely process.
- Shape and align budgeting guidelines and assumptions to enable consistent planning and submissions across markets.
- Develop payroll budget forecasts and scenario analyses to support compensation and benefits investment planning.
- Strengthen budgeting governance and standardisation across markets.
- Track budget spend, monitor variances, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Partner closely with Finance on budget submissions, tracking, and alignment.
Organization Development
- Lead targeted organization development initiatives to strengthen engagement and embed a constructive, high-performing culture.
- Design and implement programs such as organization health reviews and capability mapping to strengthen team effectiveness and capability transparency.
- Develop and drive organization development roadmaps that enable change adoption, build critical capabilities, and strengthen organizational performance.
Workforce Planning
- Build and lead regional workforce planning capabilities to accelerate growth and transformation across functions and markets.
- Translate resource requirements by function and market into demand and supply forecasts and capability gap analyses that strengthen readiness for critical roles and future capability needs.
- Maintain visibility of headcount movements and reporting across markets to provide clear visibility, strengthen workforce governance, and support informed resourcing decisions.
- Partner closely with the Talent COE, market HR, and business leaders to align workforce investments and resourcing decisions with regional growth priorities.
