Who we are

Releaf Dispensary Ltd is a leading medical cannabis clinic committed to providing high-quality, safe, and effective cannabis-based treatments. Headquartered in the UK, we aim to enhance the quality of life for our patients through innovative solutions and outstanding patient service.

We’re a fast-growing team of passionate professionals on a mission to put patients back in control of their health journey. We’ve seen first-hand how alternative treatments can change lives, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of that change.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for sharp, detail-oriented SEO Content Writers to join our busy, growing Marketing Department, people who can turn complex topics into clear, accurate content that ranks well and that readers genuinely trust.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a real interest in health and a good feel for SEO: how people search, what they’re really looking for, and how to write content that answers it. You’ll care about accuracy and detail because this is content that people rely on, where getting it right matters.

Reporting to the Head of Content, you’ll make sure everything you produce is high quality, written in Releaf’s tone of voice, optimised for search, and compliant with the regulations that apply to our industry. This is a hands-on writing role with full training and support, but we’re looking for a self-starter who can manage their own workflow, work from a brief, and hit deadlines without close supervision.

Key responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Write clear, accurate and engaging content across Releaf’s channels, including website pages and copy, blog articles, patient stories and PR pieces, optimised both to rank in search and to genuinely help readers.
  • Research & Briefs: Work from content briefs, researching each subject thoroughly so that what you produce is accurate, well-sourced, and trustworthy.
  • On-page Optimisation: Apply on-page SEO best practice as you write, including search intent, headings, metadata, internal linking and natural use of target keywords.
  • Tone of Voice: Write consistently in Releaf’s tone of voice, adapting your style to suit the channel while keeping the brand voice intact.
  • Accuracy & Trust: Produce content that reflects genuine expertise, authority and trust (E-E-A-T), citing reputable sources and reflecting current guidance.
  • Editorial Quality: Self-edit to a high standard for clarity and grammar, and act on feedback from the Head of Content.
  • Compliance: Make sure everything you write meets the regulatory and compliance requirements that apply to our sector, working closely with the team to stay within the rules.
  • Keeping Content Fresh: Update and improve existing content to maintain accuracy and search performance over time.
  • AI Search Visibility: Write in a way that helps Releaf get surfaced and cited across modern search and AI tools, with guidance from the team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Content and the wider team to get content planned, written and published.

What you’ll need

Essential

  • 2-3 years of experience writing SEO content, in-house, at an agency or freelance.
  • Native-level written English, with excellent grammar and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Experience writing in healthcare, lifestyle, wellness or another regulated, high-trust subject.
  • Comfortable managing your own workload and meeting deadlines.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with SEO tools (such as Ahrefs, Semrush or Google Search Console) and a CMS (such as DATO, Sanity, etc).
  • Awareness of how AI search and LLMs are changing the way people find information.
  • An understanding of content compliance in a regulated sector.
  • A solid understanding of on-page SEO and search intent.

Reporting and KPIs

This is a high-performance writing role, and we are clear from the start about what good looks like. We look at two things: the quality of your work before it goes live, and how it performs once it is published. Output and turnaround targets are agreed with the Head of Content and based on the length and complexity of the work.

We’re looking for someone who is excited to join a busy growing organisation - our team culture is based on support and respect and we take a proactive approach to employee progression and development. The ideal candidate for this role will be happy to roll their sleeves up and can take ownership of this role. In return, we offer flexible working; personalised training and development; private health insurance, Employee Assistance Programmes; access to employee perks and Releaf staff patient benefits.

How to apply:

Our application process starts off with an informal remote meeting followed by a written test.

At Releaf, we believe that diverse teams build better businesses. We're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to do their best work. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences — and we're happy to make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process if you need them. If you'd like to discuss this, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
