Legal Consultant - Funds

We are seeking candidates with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained across a combination of private practice and in-house legal environments, with a strong track record advising on private funds, fund formation, fund structuring, fundraising activities, and corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting investment managers, REITs, business trusts, and private funds, and be comfortable providing commercially focused legal advice across the full investment lifecycle. Experience advising on complex transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and stakeholder management within the funds, real estate, infrastructure, or asset management sectors will be highly valued.

Who are we looking for?

There is currently an increased demand for experienced funds and investment lawyers to support a leading investment management platform operating across private funds, real estate, connectivity, and infrastructure assets. We are interested in legally trained professionals with the following attributes:

• 5+ years PQE gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team supporting investment management, funds, or financial services organisations
• Qualified to practise law in a common law jurisdiction
• Strong experience advising on private funds, including fund formation, structuring, fundraising activities, offering materials, fund documentation, and ongoing fund operations
• Demonstrated experience supporting investment managers and advising on IPOs, capital markets, corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital raisings, debt financings, acquisitions, and divestments
• Sound understanding of corporate governance and entity management, including board support, resolutions, minutes, statutory filings, annual reports, and shareholder-related matters
• Strong knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, including securities, funds, listing, and corporate governance requirements
• Experience managing external counsel and engaging with regulators and key stakeholders in an effective and commercially minded manner
• Familiarity with REITs, business trusts, asset management, real estate, infrastructure, or investment platforms will be highly regarded
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to provide practical, well-reasoned advice to senior business leaders
• Able to operate independently while collaborating effectively across legal, compliance, investment, and corporate functions in a fast-paced environment
• Available to commence on short notice is preferred
