Job Summary 

To conduct and operate homologation activities for certification and sustenance of all Exponent products including battery, charger and all CMVR applicable components..

Job Description

  • To identify, document and detail homologation requirements for CMVR components as per Exponent Business needs.
  • Coordinate engineering, testing and certification activities for CMVR controlled components and products, internal at Exponent and with test agencies.
  • Define, monitor and review homologation needs of the new products throughout the product life cycle.
  • Evaluate ECR/ECNs for homologation impacts and review implementation requirements applicable for relevant CMVR type certified components and products.
  • Provide necessary documentation for systems, testing and engineering team to enable CMVR requirement capturing, adherence and validation for respective systems, components.
  • Provide necessary process, documentation and audit requirements to various stakeholders for homologation and CMVR compliance.



Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors/Masters in engineering disciplines- Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Metallurgy/ Mechatronics/ Automobile/ Reliability.
  • 2+ years of experience in complex electromechanical system integration and evaluation.
  • Exposure/ experience of understanding tests, failures and test methods related to homologation and type approval.
  • Data analysis and data management 
  • Documentation, test standards, and AIS/UNECE standards familiarity for CMVR approval.
  • Documentation and communication with the test agency.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Resilience and speed to work in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Handle complexity and break it down to simpler and/or sophisticated test cases.
  • Understanding basic electrical/electronic circuits and line diagrams.
  • Knowledge of CMVR and non CMVR requirements for various electrical and mechanical systems and their test methods..
  • Knowledge of battery and charger.
  • Vehicle and Battery homologation as per CMVR. 
  • Familiarity with automotive/ aerospace/ engineering documentation/ quality management processes.
