
Future Student Adviser
This role is pivotal in helping prospective students navigate their next step in study, whether they are considering undergraduate or postgraduate pathways. Working across Aotearoa New Zealand, you'll provide expert course advice, build meaningful relationships, and use data-driven insights to increase applications, enrolments and student success.
Key responsibilities: * Provide personalised course and pathway advice to prospective students across a range of disciplines and study options. * Proactively engage prospective and applicant students to support application completion, offer acceptance and enrolment conversion. * Develop and implement regional recruitment and conversion activities aligned with enrolment targets and growth opportunities. * Represent the University at recruitment events, information sessions, expos, webinars and stakeholder engagements. * Build strong relationships with internal academic staff and professional services teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date programme advice. * Monitor recruitment pipelines, CRM activity and conversion outcomes to identify trends and improvement opportunities. * Contribute to recruitment projects, programme improvements and initiatives that enhance the future student experience.Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will be an experienced relationship-builder and adviser who enjoys helping people make informed decisions about their future. You will be confident discussing study options and translating complex programme information into clear, practical guidance. With a strong customer focus and a proactive approach, you will thrive on building connections, identifying opportunities and supporting prospective students through the journey from enquiry to enrolment.
You may come from a tertiary education, admissions, recruitment, student services or customer engagement background and have a genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their goals.
Key requirements: * A relevant tertiary qualification. * Experience providing accurate, tailored advice and guidance to a diverse range of stakeholders. * Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. * Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. * Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work independently to achieve outcomes. * Experience using CRM systems, databases and reporting tools to maintain records and inform decision-making. * Proven ability to plan and deliver events, presentations and engagement activities. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to identify opportunities and improve performance. * Knowledge of the tertiary education sector and student recruitment lifecycle, particularly postgraduate pathways, would be an advantage. * A commitment to equity, inclusion, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting diverse learner communities. * Full, clean driver licence.Role Description: Click here to see further information, including salary details.
