We’re seeking a proactive DevOps Lead to take ownership of the infrastructure and platform strategy behind one of the fastest-growing AI legal tech platforms in Europe.

This role focuses on scaling and professionalizing our infrastructure across cloud, CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability, and security as we continue to grow rapidly year over year.

Working closely with our product developers, Head of Engineering and Head of Data, you’ll operate as both a hands-on technical leader and people manager, driving infrastructure strategy while building and mentoring a growing DevOps team.

For someone who thrives in highly autonomous environments and enjoys combining technical depth with leadership, this is an opportunity to shape the future of infrastructure at JUPUS from the ground up.

Your Challenge and Opportunity in This Role

As our DevOps Lead, you’ll own the infrastructure roadmap and help evolve our platform from a strong technical foundation into a highly scalable, reliable, and proactive engineering environment.

You’ll lead initiatives across Kubernetes migration, CI/CD modernization, observability, infrastructure automation, and cloud scalability while coaching developers and helping establish operational best practices across the company.

Expect broad ownership, fast decision-making, and visible impact on how JUPUS scales its platform and engineering organization.

Tasks

  • Own and drive the infrastructure roadmap across cloud and hybrid environments

  • Lead the rollout and adoption of Kubernetes across the platform

  • Improve and scale CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and deployment workflows

  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code practices using OpenTofu/Terraform

  • Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, networking, observability, and reliability

  • Work closely with Engineering and Data teams to support production systems and data infrastructure

  • Coach developers on infrastructure and operational best practices

  • Lead and mentor a growing DevOps team while helping establish strong engineering standards

  • Drive proactive improvements instead of reactive operational firefighting

  • Support scalability initiatives to enable continued rapid customer growth

Requirements

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience operating and scaling AWS infrastructure in production environments

  • Deep experience with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure

  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform or OpenTofu

  • Experience building and improving CI/CD systems using GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tooling such as Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, or similar

  • Experience working in startup or high-growth engineering environments

  • Familiarity with AI infrastructure or MLOps environments is a plus

Leadership & Ownership

  • Proven experience leading DevOps or Platform Engineering teams

  • Strong ability to operate autonomously and proactively define infrastructure strategy

  • Comfortable partnering with senior engineering stakeholders on architectural decisions

  • Experience mentoring and coaching developers and less experienced infrastructure engineers

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive initiatives end-to-end

Further Requirements

  • Experience working in regulated environments with exposure to GDPR, SOC2, or ISO standards is a plus

  • You must be located within the CET -2/+2 timezone for this role
