About the Role:

BMLL facilitates its clients' access to its petabytes of granular data and derived insights via three main products: BMLL Data Lab, BMLL Data Feed and BMLL Vantage, a leading financial data visualisation application. We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to take ownership of the user experience across our software estate, ensuring a consistent, high quality look and feel that is aligned with our brand and the needs of our users.

This is a central design role, working across multiple products. You will own and evolve our design system and UX guidelines, collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing, and help shape the design direction of our fast-growing FinTech business that serves some of the largest financial institutions in the world.

As this is a technical product involving complex financial concepts, an interest in finance is desired and experience designing for data heavy applications will be beneficial.

  • Own and evolve the BMLL design system and UX standards, ensuring consistent adoption across Data Lab, Data Feed, Vantage and associated Admin tools
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver intuitive, high quality designs for new features and UI enhancements
  • Work closely with the marketing team to translate brand principles into consistent product experiences across the software estate
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes and high fidelity prototypes
  • Contribute to product requirements and define UX standards and best practices across the business

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in product or UX design, ideally in a B2B SaaS context
  • Experience owning or contributing significantly to a corporate design system and / or UX guidelines and information architecture
  • Strong hands-on Figma skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across multiple products or workstreams
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable navigating competing priorities across multiple teams
  • Pragmatic and delivery focused, able to balance ideal design with real-world constraints
  • Collaborative by nature, with the confidence to advocate for the user in cross-functional discussions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to financial services markets or concepts e.g. equities, options and futures
  • Basic understanding of web development technologies, like HTML & CSS
  • Experience of Agile software development
  • Experience with charting libraries or visualisation tools and understanding how design choices affect chart readability and performance
  • Experience with Figma Make or Claude Design
  • Experience designing for an international user base

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Discretionary Bonus
  • Pension Scheme
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Work remotely abroad for up to 40 business days each year
  • Life Insurance
  • Childcare Nursery Scheme
  • Combination of remote and London-based office working, with 2 days in the office per week.
  • A yearly Well-being Physical Activity budget
  • Continuous learning through funded training and challenging projects
  • Collaborative culture
  • Weekly team lunches
  • Free Fruit, snacks, and drinks provided throughout the day (When office-based)
  • Regular Team Socials
