Tasks

We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals interested in building companies in the vettech space together with ThirtyEight Capital.

Our thesis:
The German veterinary market is consolidating. Capital is buying up practices, and the people who actually do the work are increasingly employed by someone whose interests aren't theirs. Most of them didn't spend six years studying to become someone else's headcount — but the alternative, going out alone, has become close to impossible: financing, buildout, staffing, admin, regulation, and a business skillset nobody taught them. We think that gap is the opportunity, and we think it's addressable with infrastructure rather than capital alone.

This is for you if you might already:

• have identified inefficiencies in the market
• be exploring your own ideas or theses
• have industry experience
• or want to start a company but are looking for the right partner and setup

Together, we would:

• explore market opportunities
• validate business models
• develop operational concepts
• build first commercial traction
• and potentially launch a venture together

Our approach focuses on building real businesses with strong fundamentals:

• and an early path to profitability

Rather than “growth at all costs”, we believe in building durable companies with long-term value creation.

Requirements

We are less focused on traditional CVs and more interested in entrepreneurial potential, ownership mentality and strong execution capabilities.

Ideal backgrounds could include:

• Veterinary or animal health industry experience — clinical, commercial or corporate
• Experience in multi-site healthcare operations, clinics or practice management
• Commercial or sales-heavy backgrounds
• Entrepreneurial or startup experience
• Strong operational mindset
• Understanding of regulated healthcare environments, billing and reimbursement logic

You do not need to have founded a company before.

What matters most:

• curiosity and initiative
• ability to operate in ambiguous environments
• willingness to build from zero
• strong work ethic
• commercial instinct
• desire to create a meaningful business long-term

We are especially interested in people who already bring: their own ideas, market insights, customer pain points or strong opinions on where the industry is heading.
