Contractor Account Manager
The Contractor Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of external contractors and service providers, ensuring they deliver safe, compliant, high-quality, and cost-effective services. The role involves managing contractor performance, maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring contractual compliance, and driving continuous improvements across contractor delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with external contractors across multiple service areas.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular performance review meetings and implement improvement plans where required.
- Ensure contractors comply with all health and safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and coordinate contractor activities.
- Lead contractor onboarding, inductions, and compliance checks.
- Review contractor documentation, including insurance, certifications, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Resolve contractor performance issues, disputes, and service failures promptly.
- Support procurement activities including tender evaluations, contract renewals, and supplier selection.
- Identify opportunities to improve contractor performance, service quality, and value for money.
- Maintain accurate contractor records, performance reports, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor contractor expenditure and support budget management.
- Ensure contractor activities minimise operational disruption while maintaining service standards.
- Produce regular reports and performance dashboards for senior management.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability across the contractor network.
