What is the job?
We’re scaling fast, doing things differently, and we’re looking for a HR Partner. Someone that thrives using creativity and deep ER & people expertise to guide people managers in an environment that has variety and the occasional bit of chaos that comes with startup life.

This is a hands-on, people-first role where you’ll partner closely with our rapidly growing Patient Experience function, supporting managers and teams through a period of significant growth and transformation. You’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience, building management capability, and helping teams perform at their best in a fast-paced operational environment.

This role is not for a HR generalist. It is for a true subject matter expert, that specialises in employee relations, performance, coaching managers through complex situations and driving people initiatives. You’ll be right at the heart of the action and a trusted partner to the business, spending time at both our London (Kings Cross) and Winnersh (Reading) offices every week.

What will you be doing?

  • Partner closely with Team Leads and Managers across the Patient Experience team to provide day-to-day HR support and guidance on all matters employee relations, performance management & development and people coaching.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on people matters including performance management, wellbeing, absence, conduct and employee relations

  • Support the full employee lifecycle from induction and probation through to progression and offboarding

  • Coach and support managers to lead confidently, effectively and in line with company culture and values

  • Work closely with recruitment and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all new starters

  • Support and lead on employee relations matters including investigations, performance concerns, welfare discussions and probation reviews

  • Collaborate with the Head of People & Talent on key people initiatives, process improvements and wider People projects

  • Help embed and improve key people processes such as engagement surveys, performance check-ins, recognition initiatives and manager development

  • Use data, trends and employee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and proactively solve problems

  • Support policy implementation and provide practical HR guidance in line with UK employment law and best practice

  • Build strong relationships across operational teams and become a trusted and visible People partner within the business

  • Support change, growth and organisational development as the business continues to scale rapidly

What do you need?

  • Strong HRBP experience within a fast-paced, high-growth or operational environment where you have been supporting new & seasoned managers with complex people management, performance and development challenges.

  • Experience supporting large frontline or customer-focused teams is highly desirable

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities evolve

  • Confidence handling employee relations matters with a calm, fair and pragmatic approach

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and support managers at different levels

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in

  • Self-sufficient and comfortable working remotely whilst collaborating closely with UK-based teams

  • Working knowledge of UK employment law is beneficial but not essential

  • Experience using HR systems such as HiBob is advantageous but not required
