Food And Beverage Manager - 4 * Hotel Cape Town
A 4 * Hotel with three food and beverage outlets seeks to employ a well rounded food and bev manager for a luxury property with over 200 rooms.
Job Requirements:
To effectively manage and control the administration, costs and operations of the Food and Beverage assigned outlets. Maintain operating standards as laid down by the company
REQUIREMENTS:
Hotel School Diploma (minimum 3 years)
3 years experience in all F&B areas obtained in a 4-star unit in a supervisory / management role
Banqueting experience would be a distinct advantage
Knowledge of Opera and Micros and Sales & Catering
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
To manage and control all outlets within F&B in order to achieve or exceed budget profitability, by maintaining a high standard of service, presentation and efficiency
Controls operating equipment through correct handling, storage and regular stock counts, in order to minimise loss through waste, theft and breakage
Ensure daily monitoring of Temporary Personnel
To monitor, appraise and communicate with subordinate personnel, discuss with the F&B Manager potential movement to, within and from the department
Ensure that service standard is maintained and followed through at all times. Ongoing, daily / weekly training
Ensure that all furnishings and fittings are kept clean and in good state of repair
Maintain a high standard of customer relations and personal contact with guests and ensure that guests complaints are dealt with immediately and effectively
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance as directed by the F&B Manager
Maintain and improve the high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation of kitchen and F&B storage areas
To help and implement all new food and beverage concepts
May be called upon to perform other duties not mentioned above, as requestes by the General Manager
To work cloel with the chef to come up with new concepts and ideas for menus
