Sales Development Representative

Victoria, BC (In Office)
Full-Time
$50,000–$70,000 base + commission

Help cities make better financial decisions.

At Waterworth, we're building software that helps local governments plan and finance one of the world's most important resources: water.

More than 430 municipalities across North America use Waterworth to forecast infrastructure investments, set sustainable utility rates, and make better long-term financial decisions. Today, our platform supports over $30 billion in critical infrastructure assets that serve millions of people.

We're growing quickly, and our Sales Development team is how new communities discover Waterworth.

If you're looking to launch a career in SaaS sales where you can work alongside experienced sales leaders and build skills that will accelerate your career, we'd love to meet you.

The Opportunity

As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be the first conversation many prospective customers have with Waterworth.

You'll research municipalities, identify opportunities, connect with decision-makers, and generate qualified meetings for our Account Executives. Every conversation you start helps another community discover a better way to plan for the future.

You'll spend your days gaining an inside view into a unique market, gaining direct exposure to challenges facing local governments. Along the way, you'll develop the communication, prospecting and business skills that form the foundation of a successful career in technology sales.

You'll receive structured onboarding, continuous coaching and direct access to experienced sales leaders. As Waterworth grows, so do the opportunities to grow your own career.

You'll Thrive Here If You...

  • Enjoy talking to people and building relationships.
  • Learn quickly and are naturally curious.
  • Stay motivated even when you hear "no."
  • Take ownership and enjoy being proactive
  • Are organized and follow through on commitments.
  • Want honest coaching and actively seek feedback.
  • Enjoy working toward measurable goals.
  • Like solving problems and finding creative ways to reach people.
  • Are excited by technology and comfortable learning new tools, including AI.

Previous sales experience is helpful, but it doesn't have to come from SaaS. Hospitality, retail, customer service, athletics, fundraising, recruitment, or other customer-facing roles often provide the same skills that make outstanding SDRs.

Why Waterworth?

We're a local, growing software company with a proven product, meaningful customers and a collaborative team that genuinely enjoys working together.

You'll work from our downtown Victoria office alongside experienced teammates who are invested in helping you succeed. We believe the best learning happens together and pride ourselves on creating an environment where that can happen.

This is a place where you'll be trusted with real responsibility, encouraged to contribute ideas and given the support to continually improve.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary of $50,000–$70,000, plus commissions.
  • Structured onboarding and ongoing sales coaching.
  • Clear opportunities to grow your career across Sales and other teams.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation, plus an additional paid office closure over the Christmas holidays.
  • Extended health and dental benefits.
  • A modern downtown Victoria office, with highlights including our beautifully renovated patio and ping pong table.
