About the Role
If you’re someone who enjoys a challenge and has experience (professional or lived) supporting people with complex needs, we’d love to hear from you.
The Permi-Flex position would be an excellent fit for someone who loves variety in their work week. With 40 hours per week guaranteed, you will work a variety of day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts across our Palmerston North services; plus, you will be paid $31.97 per hour.
In this role, you will:
- Support people as they set and achieve personal goals
- Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
- Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
- Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
- Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
- And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!
Skills And Experiences
What you’ll bring
Our Palmerston North team is looking for someone with:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive attitude and calm approach in challenging situations
- A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
- A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 Health & Wellbeing) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
- The right to work in New Zealand (essential)
