Vendor Operations Analyst - Financial Data & Technology
We are seeking a Vendor Operations Analyst to support the management and administration of financial data, research, alternative data and other strategic third-party vendors for a highly respected global alternative investment manager.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within financial services operations while gaining exposure to vendor contracts, vendor management, procurement, technology and operational governance.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, intellectually curious professional who enjoys bringing structure to complex operational processes and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. Working within a small, high-performing team, you'll support the full lifecycle of strategic vendors—from onboarding and contract administration to renewals, governance and continuous process improvement.
Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment and a commitment to operational excellence. Every task—whether updating documentation, coordinating a contract, communicating with a vendor or supporting an internal stakeholder—contributes to protecting the firm's operational, legal and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management of financial data, research, software and technology vendors throughout the vendor lifecycle.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, renewals, amendments and offboarding activities.
- Maintain complete and accurate vendor records, contracts and documentation across internal systems.
- Monitor contract milestones, renewal dates and operational deadlines to ensure timely completion.
- Support procurement, legal and compliance workflows by preparing, routing and tracking documentation through established approval processes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across technology, finance, legal, compliance and business teams to ensure requests are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate professionally with external vendors regarding operational and administrative matters.
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation that enables informed operational and commercial decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, documentation and team efficiency.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, exceptionally organized and takes genuine pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Experience within financial services, asset management, banking or other regulated professional environments is strongly preferred. Experience supporting vendor management, procurement, contract administration or operational governance is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ownership by following through on commitments and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn complex concepts.
- Sound judgment and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Professionalism, humility and a collaborative mindset.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality.
- A commitment to following established processes while continually looking for thoughtful improvements.
Experience within financial services, procurement, vendor management, operations, contract administration or market data is advantageous but not essential. We value learning potential, ownership and operational excellence above direct industry experience.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you will have become a trusted member of the Vendor Operations team, known for delivering consistently accurate work, communicating professionally, maintaining exceptional documentation and continuously improving the processes you support. We're a small team that values professionalism, humility, curiosity and continuous improvement. We believe operational excellence comes from people who care deeply about accuracy, enjoy learning and take pride in doing things the right way.
Success is measured by reliability, accuracy, accountability and the confidence others place in the quality of your work.
